Killerton House

The stunning National Trust’s Killerton House (Exeter) is hosting a wonderful autumnal at exhibition starting this Saturday.  It’s on for a month and well worth a visit. I will have a seasonal collection there including my new piece ‘Autumn’!! I will be there this Saturday afternoon if you fancy popping in!

New Autumn Piece

imageI’ve finished!!! This piece has been in my head for a long time!!!! I have finally created my favourite season!!!  I LOVED it too.

I foraged for this one…. the bracken, leaves and honesty are courtesy of our local woods as well as my garden. Good old Mother Nature. The creatures are all inspired by recent visitors to our garden and the overall image comes from years of enjoyable Autumn walks in our local countryside.

The framed original is 38 X 30″ priced at £1200 and there will be 25 limited edition prints available very soon!

Autumn Watch

I’ve been busy beavering away on a rather large Autumn piece. This one’s been in my mind for some time and now it’s actually almost finished! This is undoubtedly my favourite time of the year so creating this is a joy. Here is a little taster of what’s to come.  I foraged in my own garden for this one. The honesty and fallen leaves are home grown! So excited – nearly there now….

Autumn Mood

Love autumn so much. Here is a mood board capturing some Autumn essence.  I’m working on a new collection and it will certainly feature some of these gorgeous crispy crunchy textures….

Goodbye Summer Of Colour

Last week saw the end of the Summer of Colour Exhibition. It has been an amazing three weeks and both Doug and I could not be happier though I was a teeny bit emotional today watching the pieces being wrapped up ready for their new homes!
I can’t thank the following people enough. Firstly to all the lovely visitors and supporters, many of whom travelled long distances to be there.  The enthusiasm and lovely comments were so appreciated. Marie Hewitt and the fabulous team at ArtSource Gallery did us proud. They hosted the event and worked so hard to make it such a success. Sean James of Artframe Solution for framing the pieces so beautifully. Bretonside Copy for the superb job you did with the printing. Debs Wiseman for taking great care of business & keeping me organised.
The fab sponsors, Duke of Cornwall Hotel, The Dock – Plymouth, Make at 140, Cornish Interiors and La Roux Café and Wine Bar. Your support was awesome.

Finally my wonderful family and friends. Couldn’t have done it without you X

So what next??!! I am currently giving my studio gallery a makeover.  Once I’ve decided which colour it’s going to be that is!

There are some autumnal pieces in the pipeline ready for the Devon Artist pop up event at National Trust’s Killerton House near Exeter. The show opens 25th September and runs until 30th October.  Then it’s onto the Windsor Art Fair in November.

Will keep you posted with work in progress once I finally start some!
